Autograph, Brief, Pennant an Schoepf
Eigenhändiges Begleitschreiben Thomas Pennants zu einer von ihm getroffenen Zusammenstellung von Schildkrötendarstellungen unterschiedlicher Provinienz (vgl. Object 15009), um die ihn Schoepf in einem Schreiben vom 15. Mai 1790 gebeten hatte.

| Beschriftung | Sir / I am found with y Letter of May the 15th but it did not / reach me till the middle of last month. I've chosen drawings / of all the Tortoises you wish to know. You will easily inform / yourself further. As to myself I have quite determined never / to publish any new work; I find it so great a pressure on / my mind. Whenever the Public call for new editions of any / of my works I am ready to perform that duty. At / present it calls for ones of my indian zoology - of my / arctic zoology - and my account of London. For that I / must refer my friends to my Booksellers: As I wish / to shut all mouth the remnant of my days.
